Newborn Basics Session
Personalized education covering newborn bathing, feeding support, sleep foundations, soothing techniques, and what to expect in the early weeks at home. Designed to help parents feel prepared, confident, and supported as they transition home with their new baby.
Up to four participants per session

Infant CPR and Choking
A community-based, hands-on education session designed for parents and caregivers. This participatory lesson covers infant CPR and choking response skills to help you recognize emergencies and respond calmly and confidently.
Up to two participants per session. A participation card is provided.

Six Week Post Partum Consult
Ongoing nurse practitioner-led guidance during the first six weeks at home. This service provides support for non-urgent questions related to newborn care, feeding, sleep patterns, and common early concerns.
Designed to offer reassurance, clarity, and continuity during the transition into parenthood. Not intended for emergencies or replacement of individualied medical care.

My First Baby is led by Karen McDonald, MSN, APRN, FNP-C-- a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience, including more than two decades in high-risk neonatal care.
As a NICU nurse, Karen recognized that many parents leave the hospital without the hands-on guidance needed for everyday newborn care. Even healthy newborn families often lack practical instruction once they return home.
My First Baby was created to bridge that gap -- offering essential newborn safety education, CPR instruction, car seat guidance, and personalized support during the early weeks at home.
Our mission is simple: to help families feel confident, prepared, and supported as they transition into parenthood.
